3. Accessing the website (server log data)
When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically stores information transmitted by your browser in server log files: in particular the IP address, date and time of the request, the URL accessed, the HTTP status code, the amount of data transferred, the referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in stable and secure operation. The logs are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless a security incident requires longer storage.
4. Contact by email and telephone
This website does not contain a contact form. Contact is made using the email address and telephone numbers published on it. If you contact us in this way, we process the data you provide — in particular your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message — solely in order to handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Your enquiry is deleted once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies — in particular the commercial and tax law retention periods of six and ten years.
5. Recipients
Enquiries sent to the address published on this website are handled on our behalf by an external business development partner based in the Netherlands, who looks after Hagener Feinstahl across Europe. This partner acts as a processor bound by a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR and processes your data solely on our instructions. The people responsible are named in the contact section of this site. Processing takes place within the European Union; no transfer to a third country occurs.
For the technical operation of this website we use carefully selected service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR: hosting and delivery of the site, and delivery of static assets such as images and documents. Your data is not passed to any other third party unless we are legally obliged to disclose it.
6. Cookies, fonts and tracking
This website sets no cookies beyond what is technically necessary to operate it, and loads no analytics, advertising or social media services. There is therefore no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Typefaces are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any comparable service. The map on this page is a vector graphic delivered by us, not an embedded map service.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Art. 77 GDPR).
8. Data security
Data is transmitted using TLS encryption (HTTPS). Access to stored enquiries is restricted to authorised personnel through technical and organisational measures.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this policy when legal requirements or our processing activities change. The version published on this page is always the current one.
